- I am a 24 years old, indonesian, oldest among the 3 siblings, i love arts related so that could be in design, colours, life, make up, fabric everything. i've had been taking art classes since i was a kid and i enrolled in a design university taking graphic design as my major. it wasnt really my super huge passion but it is now, i cant get or stay away from design. i work as a freelance graphic designer and the owner of Blue Teacup Design (you can find it on fb too)
How did you start your interests in design? and whats your inspiration?
- i got to be honest that my first interest wasnt design, it was more into arts like painting sketching water colour etc then i took GD course in the uni, still it didn't enraptured my passion then once i graduated and saw all the cute and unique ideas and design for wedding souvenirs/design, thats where and when i learned all my by myself to visualised and created designs into reality and it started from there until now and it will last until forever. when it comes to inspiration, i got my inspiration from everywhere anywhere anytime, i dont specifically choose a designer or a design and stick by it. i love to observe different kind of design and i always try to create different style.
For how long have you been a designer and what keeps you going for more?
- i have been a designer for almost 1 year now and what keeps me going for more is probably the thirst to create my life n others more colourful. another reason that keeps me going for more is my curiosity in different style therefore i observe, do research, try to design and put it into my own style when i have the time to myself. i also love the feeling when a client's is satisfy with my work and it helps them to create and enhance their business or events through the design i made.
Once you're start working on a piece or design work, whats your frequent working process like?
- i dont have a frequent working process because... i dont work well with frequent or monotone lifestyle haha but usually, just like any other designers would do, i probably do my research, narrow it down, relate them to the project and start designing. along the side, i have to have my tea with me and some snack when working :P
How did you improve your design work and techniques?
- i always believe we wont stop learning until we are old so for me, everyday everytime anytime is a learning process. i learned everyday and always finding myself learning new trick and techniques and from there it improves my design work. of course with the help of client's feedback too :)
What advice you can share for young designer out there that are just starting their carrier now?
- my advice is: fight for what you believe in even if others bring you down! thats what i learned and it brings me until this stage, i know i am not that far and superb as other senior designer, but it wasnt an easy start infact, it is alot of hard work :) and i will still fight for what i believe in, i will still pray and think to make my dreams come into reality. have faith in yourself!
